Hi all,
at old 3.4VDJ Version automix with MK2 worked smoothly. Each time it automixed, the AUTOBEAT was turned on to SYNC the beats....perfect for first time at the club not to be mixing manually.
The problem now for me is with 4.1r2 VDJ version. With Automix enabled, the autobeat doesnt work automatically so the songs mix OUT OF BEAT... I need to push manually the autobeat button to make it sync so automix is out of sense if i must be waiting for the mix to manually sync beats.
I tried many configs but i think its a problem of new 4version, is there a way to map this, or to patch this? is ner revision going to correct this bug?
thanks

Virtual DJ 4.x has a NEW sync engine for faster smoother sync.

This smooth sync works with the CGBs (the dots under the beat peaks in the waveform).
So if these are not aligned properly to beats, you migth find the 4.x sync different than the 3.x sync.

BUT, the 3.x way of sync is STILL there ;) Just not default.

In new default skin you have TWO choices of syncing:
- left click sync = smooth CGB sync (new in 4.x)
- right click sync = sync on real beats (the 3.x way).

So if you want to map this to any keyboard or to the console (or midi devices), you need to change the sync mapping or make two buttons for the different syncs.

The sync shortcuts are :
- sync (new way)
- sync_nocgb (old way)

Hope that helps;)

Problem Solved...
I just changed audio card config from direct MK2 to ASIO mode. (used to be in WDM)
Thanks

yeah..

I think you have to do some registry change to change default sync behavior.

So guess WDM mode uses new sync, and ASIO uses old sync then ;)

But glad it works;)

Do you know if that is reviewed at 4.2r1 version? if yes, i wont need to use ASIO as i dont use TCV by now (I need the old sync)

'The old sync is there still ;)

But you mean you need it for automix right ?

If i use WDM instead of ASIO mode, When i use automix, the mix enters out of beat untill i press beat button alt mk2...so i need to stay for each mix to press the button. AT ASIO mode, mix enters on beat (fully automix working) but now i'm having some audio gap each few seconds (very anoying)
