Topic: Trouble with Timecoded Cd's

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just burned some Timecoded cd's and I configured my sound card and computer as needed.
But when I am play the cd players (numark axis 8) my computer says there is no signal. Can anyone help me out with this problem? I am using numark axis 8 cd players, Hercules Mk2 sound card, a dell inspiron 2650 and 2 timecode cds I downloaded from this site and then burned.

Try press autoconfig in the timecode settings

Do you see a timecode wave??

If not, open up the line ins on the hercules, in the hercules control pannel
(next to volum sliders)

I see the waves but they are all over the place and it says I have 0%

k;)

here is the deal :

- The mk2 does not have volume slider for line ins (unfortunately).
So your signal from the CD players is too loud

What you need to do is this:
- Open the mp3 timecode in a wave editor
- Lower the signal about 13db
- Save to windows wave file (PCM)

Burn a new audio cd, and use that;)

Thanks that worked....I have another problem now. Now my Mk2 card isn't controling my vdj software. What do you suggest?

check it is enabled on the remote control tab

I checked enable but the little light on the screen is still read indicating that it hasn't found the mk2. Also the music sounds like digital pixalated. What is a good sample rate and buffer?

try a reinstall of the console

Still nothing, does it work on any version of Vdj?

yes , but you will gett better results in the latest version 4.12 :)

look in device manager to check if the console shows up

Do you have a link for that?
