Sorry, I posted this to the software forum by mistake.
I just bought a Dell 1505 laptop for VDJ. Its got the intel dual core, XP professional, 2 G RAM and 100 G SATA 7200 HD.
It came with a sound card.
I would like to purchase VDJ and a DAC 3 controller and add them to my current set up.
I am confused as to the proper way to configure this set up. What type of sound card, internal or external, works best with VDJ? Do I go from my computer to the DAC 3 via USB and from the sound card to my mixer channels (via 1/8 inch to RCA)? I guess I need a sound card with atleast two out puts?? What type of cables should I use?
Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks. CM

I just want to use the DAC controller to mix mp3s, create playlists, automix etc?

yeh build in souncard would be fine for that setup just plugin the dac and ur good to go :)
