Topic: VDJ unresponsive

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello all, I dj with a new dell 1710 XPS, 2GB ram, 2.33 Ghz, nivida GTX 512 vid card.

Sometimes when I load a song while one is currently playing, vdj becomes unresponsive for maybe 8 seconds, though the output audio is not affected.

same thing happens when playing video, yet the video continues to play on the projector screens while vdj freezes for the 7 or 8 seconds. this isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to not have to deal with this.

any ideas of a remedy?

Let's go :-)

we may be the only 2 with identical systems within driving distance.

We can put up our systems and make them perfect.

just checking...

XPS 1710
Presonus firebox
using TCCD
.vob for much video use
NVidia 7900GTX 512 mb video card ( I have my worries about the settings or how this works with VDJ)
Windows Media OS (you may have Pro or home, don't think it matters)

yup, same system with the exceptions of me using XP Home edition and my 7950 GTX card. I havn't hooked up the firebox yet, so no TCCDs at the moment. I use a dac-3 for my "mobile dj" gigs and the programs on-board play and cue buttons for the club jobs. between going to school and working almost every evening, I'm waiting for a day off so we can hook up.
