Does VDJ 3.4 or 4.1 work at all with the Apple computers.
My g/f is convinced it will and wants to buy an Apple laptop for backup.

How do I answer her?

im new here, i am currently a FS2 user but am looking to get VRDJ. Does anyone know when they are going to release the version for OSX. I really love the ability to skin in virtual dj because i really want a system that has all the features i love that VRDJ Has. Like great horizontal wave forms, Effects and filter like fs2 and the turntable record markers that SSL has. I love that SSL skin in vrdj

milehigh...ur using a macbook pro and using vdj fine? r u using the video out? mine doesn't work and I understand that is a problem with bootcamp...could this be a problem with the trial version of vdj. I haven't bought full version because i can't get video out.

Apple BootCamp does not support video out (yet), its still Apple beta..

But VDJ will come nativly on mac platform real soon ;)

apple beta will be available to Vip and above members

(which requires a purchase of the software)

unless otherwise specified

if a dac will run on a mac , then it will be supported.

as the beta is not yet released i cannot confirm this yet.

The DAC-3 is a USB HID (Human Interface Device), so the latest macs may be able to recognise it without any special drivers. No drivers are required under Windows.

The DAC-3 should work providing support for this device is included in the mac version of VDJ when it's released (It may not be supported in the first version, but if not, it will probably be added at a later date.)

Although the DAC-3 has a MIDI logo, it is not a native MIDI controller. To use it as a MIDI controller, you need to use translator software (Midiyoke if I remember correctly, but I think this is only available for the PC.) MIDI won't be an issue if the mac version of VDJ has built-in USB HID support for the DAC-3 as per the current PC version.

My custom mapper for the DAC-3 will probably not work on the mac version of VDJ when it's released because it's a Windows DLL.

NOTE: The DAC-3 and my mapper might work on an Intel mac running Windows and the PC version of VDJ via Bootcamp.

it will be released when its ready

software development is a lengthy process

would you want a buggy half finished release , i dont think so =)

so best to wait

wont be long

Well, bugs would be found faster if all registered users would be allowed to beta test & post feedback.

i mean this in the nicest way matahoe and all others here

lets be honest not every one the level of skills required to test the software and it would be a dissaster people would post feed back like

it sucks , i hate it or , Great , it doesnt work

which would happen alot

why , what doesnt work do u get me , it would make testing a lot harder

and the havock if people tried betas out live ect.

so i think its better that folks get invited to test the product

most beta tests work this way

Regards

Simon
