Hi,

brand new DELL 1710 XPS. 4.0 pro, used the software on the laptop for about 10 hours today- great.

Now it was time to hook up to the soundcard, TCCD, cd players, mixer, etc etc etc.

I have nothing but a very annoying loud buzz- it goes away when I remove the USB cord or unplug the rca's going to the mixer.

I am ready to trouble shoot.

I would beleive my friend it is a grounding issue. Try using a balanced transformer.
 
The buzz is the timecode signal. Open the esi mixer on the taskbar and push monitor's mute ("m" behind the faders).
