is it just me or does the beat matching not work as good on 4.0?? i'm tempted to go back to the 3.x for this reason.. it seemed like it matched much better.. d-.-b

Why don't you adjust the song speed by hand? It's so simple!
Anyway, it's the same algorythm, maybe the shortcut you're using isn't the one do do the "old-style" beatmatching, but just a synchronisation... Check that!

Ensure that in your CONFIG->OPTIONS...AutoBPM=ENABLED
