I recently transferred my music to an external drive. I have around 75,000 songs. When I did another seach of my new hard drive the Local Database duplicated all my songs - now I have 150,000 (and lots of broken links). How do I Delete or Remove my local database and start over? Every time I try and go in and select all my music and remove from search database the system locks up?

Right click on the Local Database and choose 'Delete CD', this will give you a dialog to choose the drives you want to remove. Repeat the process until no drives are listed. Then go an Add only the external drive.

hope that helps.

Thanks so much this solves my problem... who would have thought it would have been called Delete CD? Seems like a better word would have been HD?
