If you plug your mixer power lead into the same extension lead as your pc power lead and then switch your mixer on, is there a chance of blowing a component in the PC. I had VDJ running fine and then i made some mods to my djbox and had the both plugged into the same ext lead, now when i put VDJ on it says sound card driver error. I run the diagnostics (soundblaster 5.1) and it says hadware not found!
I have a gig tomorrow what do you suggest?
Thanks
Craig

I don't think so. You can plug them in the same extension without problems. Your sound card is having a problem, try reinstalling drivers or change it's place in the PCI slot (if it's not USB). Check in Device Manager is your PC seeing your SB at all.

Thanks DJ-Alf.
I managed to take the top of my pc and wiggle the soundcard and it worked. I done a gig and it was absolutely fine. My heart was pouning when I wrote my thread. I hope it doesn't happen when i'm gigging!!!! I will try and change PCI slots maybe that'll be better. Thanks again.
