This is for VDJ 3.4 and VDJ 4. The samples seem to have a mind of their own. Somtimes they play to the beat and sometimes (mostly) they don't. What setting do I need to look into?

First you need to make sure that the sample is a perfect loop. Second, try sync on quarter beat.

They definitely are perfect loops. They even played at the same tempo as the music play at one point. Now, they just play at a different tempo, usually slower, than any of the songs currently playing on the deck(s).

Is beatlock enabled for that loop and did you try sync on quarter beat?

I'm using the pioneer cdj-700s skin. Where do I go to beatlock a sample? Also, what do u mean to sync on a quarter beat. I always try to hit the sample button right on a beat.

In the SAMPLES menu click on the little round icon on each sample. It will bring up options.
