Topic: Two database files? VDJ 3.4 and 4.0

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Running both 3.4 and 4.0 (simply renamed the 3.4 exe file as suggested here). both work. analysed a bunch of songs in 4.0, noticed they did not show as analysed in 3.4, then noted two database files, one VDJ database, the other VDJ database (administrator); the latter created by 4.0. Can I delete one or the other; will both 3.4 and 4.0 refer to it?

nope.

Virtual DJ 3.4 and 4.0 uses two different databases, just as you describe.

The 4.0 database have features making incompatible with 3.4

So, you have to analyze in both versions, if you use both versions
