Any external device that you are using, if it has the option of using an AC adapter then use a AC adapter. This is especialy important if you're using more than one external device. I was starting to get sluggish results with TCV when I first ran TCV from my u46dj and mk2, then after my father gave me a lesson on power sources I tryed the AC adapters on both the u46dj and the mk2 (the u46dj had already been on an ac adapter). The result was about as close as it gets to a perfect vinyl emulation (great results). So if you're not using AC adapters (they run as cheap as $5 for a 300Ma universal adapter) and getting sluggish results, go get the AC adapter & stop putting a strain on your computers power resources.
