Topic: VDJ 4 Crossfade Issue

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just installed 4.0 and now when it automixes it crossfades very fast. I change the settings to 6 seconds and it doesn't matter. Why is it crossfading so quickly? I've tried everything. Just when I get the old one figured out this new one comes out and I'm all confused. Help

Thanks

I am just wondering why when I crossfade my transitions are jumpy. They have always been this way.

what are your pc specs?
must be limitations on your PC, either ram, videocard or IRQ sharing conflict

P4 2.8, 1.5 gig Ram, Ati Radeon 9550 256 Mb AGP video card. I am currently working on updating my drivers, but I don't think that will make a difference.

well, you have a better PC than me, and I can mix super-smooth ...

Running on 1 giga ram, ATI X700....

So, does your graphic card shar IRQ, and most importantly does it share IRQ with soundcard or other device in use by VDJ?
If so, you are into skipping problems...

Please check that...

Ok been awhile and still jumpy. I havent checked the IRQs but I will and post back. On my new machine Pentium d 2.66 Dual Core, 2 gig Ram, Radeon X600 pro video transitions are also jumpy. Once again I will check IRQs. You say your transitions are super smooth even in Automix?? I hope I can get this sorted out. Thanks

yupp, everything works super smooth here, on a less powerfull pc than yours...

Hope you can narrow down whats causing your skips. You should have it running better than me ;)
