I think many are a bit comfused about the new FX way;) just takes time to get to know it.. :)
 
When I click on Activate in Effects Menu it doesn't work (i.e it remains "Un"activated)
Also No Effects will display on an Audio Track
and finally (for now) Whatever Transition is selected it will only Fade from one to the other
