Keep in mind timecode is not readed correcly in reverse, (this is the case with most vinyl software). So in 4.0 if needle jumps in reverse (backspin or scratch) possition is corrected when it reads normal (forward) timestamps again.

If your needle is losing track it is probably skipping/jumping out the the grooves.
