Topic: vdj crossfader

is it possible to control the crossfader on vdj with your mixer(i'm using a newmark 200fx mixer).if so how can this be done?and what can i use to control it.

It's not possible to control the crossfader directly (not even with midi mapping, it's not fully implemented) yet, but it's a far better solution to route 2 seperate audio outputs in the mixer and from there to speakers. That is the basic function of a mixer ;)

Choose one of these options, depending on which soundcard(s) you have:




  1. if you have only one stereo output, use the Y-splitter mode in which case you'll be mixing two mono signals.
  2. with 4.1 soundcard you can use stereo front and stereo back outputs to route 2 stereo signals into the mixer. With 5.1, center output can be used for samples in mono.
  3. with two 5.1 soundcards more options are possible.
  4. use the advanced config to apply each setting independantly
