K, here is my system specs:
Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2400 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 667MHz FSB)
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional SP2
512MB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (512MBx1)
80gb hard drive (inside the notebook) and 2-500gb external firewire drives

Would I be better off buying a Hercules Mk2 Controller (and pro vdj), or a U46DJ (and pro) for doing timecoded vinyl? Which will I recieve lower latencys with, and if the difference is slight, does the features of the MK2 really come in handy when using timecoded vinyl, or do those who have and use it use it solely as the soundcard to promote TCV use?

VDJ Pro and U46Dj IMO. You have a good computer. I've never used the MK2 but I don't see why u need it if u u're into tcv's. I think that's just a decision you'll have to make.
