Topic: VDJ 2 and VST question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi... guess some of us have tested a few VST plugins, and sure the staff have tested too... :)

So... my experience so far, a lot of them work really good! :)

BUT - some that I really love, make a skip in music when I select that plugin.. a half of second of silence, or repeat of a beat etc.

Is that do to VST support still beeing young? (and maybe better in future updates..)
OR, is it my PC that is not "strong" enough?
(having a p4 mobile 1,8 mhz, 512 mb ram, winxp)

Just a question, because some of the VST that I really would like to use, make a skip first time I use it...
But works sooo well when started (GUI, sliders & everything)

Still, VST works great for many VST's WITHOUT skipping too... so not a complaint really :)

True.. if its not a laptop, ram is pretty cheap...
having lotsa ram is always good, in music programs, photo programs, games etc... :)

true i'll get a gig soon with the laptops they still havent won my trust i need it for karaoke so they'll need a multi display option and plus the heat up so quick .. i guess i just had bad expierinces i had a dell and after that forget it.
Anyone know of any good laptops for proffesional use ? remember not freezing up is the key here the last thing i need to to freeze and have to reboot at a 6 hour party

I've been using a Sony laptop now for several years. In fact, it's my 2nd Sony laptop. My first one is still being used by my brother with Atomixmp3.
I use it 3-5 times every single week, 51 weeks every year.
