Topic: A Little Help, I'm stumped.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I re-installed windows yesterday and now my laptop won't tell me when the battery is almost dead. The little battery icon on the tray is no longer there. It say's that the laptop is running on ac power even when my charger is not connected. Anybody ever had this problem before?

Go to the Control Pannel and open Battery. There you can enable battery icon in system tray. But it should show battery when you run your laptop on battery.
 
Or go to the laptop manufacturers website and download the powermanagement supplement for your particular model.
