I just find it very odd that I have to turn off even more background apps when I still have ~1gb of free RAM with VDJ loaded.

I have read in other Asio audio forums that it can be an issue with processes (Background apps) and other stuff, but normally this applies to people with lesser specs than we have, thats why i still strongly believe its a driver or chipset issue

Maybe because you are right? :)

I'm pretty sure its a chipset, usb or irq issue...

If it works perfect at desktop, but not at laptop, then there is something in the hardware configuration on the laptop..

IRQ sharing with USB would be the nr1 enemy..

Do Intel laptops work like AMD ones? What I mean is, the CPU adjust it's multiplier on-the-fly as it sees fit to conserve battery power, so your CPU could really be running at only 800 Mhz rather than at it's full potential. You could test this by running the program CPU-Z adjacent Virtual DJ and see if it runs at fullspeed.

As dj-in-norway said it is probably IRQ problem. I know that i have many devices at same IRQ in my laptop. But i never tryed to change IRQs. I have every function set just like on desktop computer and still doesn't work.

Well i tried changing IRQ (WITH DJ-IN-Norway) , pulled out devices from my laptop, stop USB ports and other parts i didn't use, and i had no IQ sharing conflict. But it still didn't help so im sure that is not the case either

Worth a try, quite a simple test too.
