I want to be able to locate songs that i am looking for. But when i got to search i can only find the song on the Genre that i am in. Is there anyway the i can just put the name of the song into the search field and virtual can locate the song in all different genres or name matches??

please search the forums, while this question is answered a couple of times before (the same for your question about the licence).
Before you can search you will have to scan your hard drive for files:
- Open VDJ
- In the File browser on the left side, select Local database
- Right click and select "Scan HD"
- Select the drive(s) where your songs are located
- Click OK
- Wait until the search is finished
Now if you like to search you could
- Select the folder and enter a search phrase, to search within that folder
- Select local database and enter a search phrase, to search all your files
