Topic: Question about Using Time Coded Records

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm thinking of buying the mk2 with pro virtual dj 3 software, but I got a quick question that's probably been asked before, so bare with me I'm a newbie..lol. All I need to know is, will any time coded records and turntable setup work? I'm in the states and the only time coded records I can seem to find (without ordering internationaly) are the thin Final skratch version 1 records. Thank you in advance for your help;^]

Ok, good to know then. I'm new to time coded records, will any turntables work? I'm looking at stantons t.60. Also, will I need to use the splitters for regular vinyls on the mk2?

Yes any turntables will work and yes I believe you need a splitter to play regular vinyls. Do a search on the forums as that topic has been discussed in great detail. I don't play regular vinyls any longer so I'm not positive.
