In the CDJ-700S skin there is a diplay Lvl (##dB). What exactly is this?

I've noticed that when the Lvl is lower the tracks play a little quieter (I've used MP3Gain to match all my tracks) so I'm assuming this is Level in Decibels.

Should I alter the gain of my tracks to compensate?
