Topic: channel 5-6 on hercules

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

when I use VDJ in (of course) DJ mode, if I connect an amp to channel 5-6 (called AUX on the console audio pannel) no sound is coming out.
The problem is that I need 2 stereo output plus the headphones....how should I do?

So, you have DJ Console 1.

What do you need 2 stereo output for ?

Is it to get twice the same mix output ?
Then you can get
1 stereo output with RCA output 1/2 (Front speakers out)
+ 1 stereo output with jack 1/8 output 1/2 (front speakers out)

If it is to play split the left deck and the right deck on 2 separate outputs, then you need VirtualDJ Pro version.

DJ Console 1 output 5-6 is not made for DJing with VirtualDJ, it is to use with software with multiple channel outputs, as
- DVD playback with DVD software which integrates a Dolby decoder filter in 5.1
- other multiple channel music software (as audio production software).

@Made In Breizh: please note, PaulRain is Pro version user.

@PaulRain:

Paul, you can try to use "advanced config in the vdj" and "Normal" mode on the hercules panel.

So hercules will be 5.1 soundcard, and you can map front to prelisten,
rear to first deck for example and subwoofer/center to second deck.
you will hear 1st (front) channels in the headphones.

hi guys, I would like to be able to use also channel 5-6 because sometimes, when I play on Bars or Pubs (which normally has a bounce speakers around) I need to send the first two to the Bar Amp but I also need to have another couple of speakers near to me (most of the time the place for the DJ is hidden somewhere with no speakers nearby).
I can't use the channels 3-4 but I have to route the headphones throught those one so if I plug and external amp I will ear exactely what I'm earing on the headphones.
I don't what to use an external mixer for this.

Paul, that's exactly what has been advised to you.

If you want to hear in speakers at your dj place the same as in Bar speakers, you can use the Y splitter or you can use the RCA connectors and the mini jack at the same time.

So bar speakers and your speakers will be BOTH connected to the output 1-2.
