I've been to Christian, Jewish, Hispanic, Black weddings...
Different music is played based on race, religion, culture and ethnicity.

Check out this link, it gives suggestions for many aspects of a wedding. Other than that, you'll just have to learn to read your crowd and be what you are trying to be....a Disc Jockey.
