Hi has anyone had the sound "skip" when loading a large file such as an hour long mp3 mix. I also noticed that when loading a large file the cpu usage goes up quite a bit unitl I remove that file from the deck.

Well, I would guess that your swap file is taking a pretty large hit since tracks generally load into RAM for manipulation by the deck controls.

No surprise that your CPU usage would rise sharply... heck my CPU fan kicks on as soon as I fire up vDJ. Thats because vDJ is sooo HOT ! [:o)

BUT: If you are loading an hour long mix, VDJ is expanding that entire file directly into memory. That will take up an incredible amount of RAM, especially if you already have a big file playing.
If you are using large files, you might try changing the max load settings. Try each setting until you fing the highest number that works OK with your hour long mixes.
