Topic: Crackling Sound when using effects

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Everything is fine using vdj except when I use effects I get this crackling and popping sound.
What could this be coming from? Using up too much memory on my Pc or what?

and with which effects?
 
Intel
Pentium 4 CPU 2.20 GHz
2.50 GHz 512 MB of RAM

Windows XP
 
all the effects but most noticeable on the falnger and TK filter V2.
 
I've noticed when using the keychanger, pops and clicks in my karaoke tracks... FYI...

I was thinking it was the tracks... still investigating on my end.
