Is ther a way to make a file smaller .When i make a tune the file is too big to send over the net or to put on a cd

hom much smaller does it need to go ?? try WINRAR or WINZIP, if it can't be compressed enough as one file try breaking it up into smaller files.
 
what is it ? Is it an audio file? are you encoding to a wav or mp3?

Mp3's wont really shrink as they are compressed already;'/
