How long is a piece of string?
 
It would be nice to know a general time period. For me personally I am opening up a new club next month and it would be nice to test out 4.0 before our grand opening
 
Guys, Since I have been a professional developer for 15+ years I thought I'd throw in a voice here. It is nearly impossible to estimate the release of a new product unless you are within 60 days (the last code/bug cleanup moments)

There are simply too many items to deal with to properly adjust a timeline. Good project management can be a great help in product development, but depending on the size of the development team it can be difficult to guage the release date.

I would love to know the new features, but I'm happy about the current version so...

I don't know guys....these threads usually just get like media hype.
This is a monumental task, especially given the recent anouncement date.
A task that our friends over at Visio have struggled with for hmmm.....3 years now?
I gues we know what method doesn't work.....

I prefer to think of it as a long car ride, just kick back and we'll get there when we get there without all the anxious anticipation.

I CAN wait for it, because 3.3 is really great, and I prefer a better 4.0 than faster release.

There's nothing the matter with these guys, they're just a little more anxious than others!

It will not influence the developers release date.
