Topic: Looping

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Still playing around with VDJ, am slowly mastering it but i cannot figure the function of the 'shift' knob in the looping section. Could someone please explain it and perhaps give an example of it's use.

TIA

When you have a loop going, the shift knob will shift the begiining (or IN point) of the loop. In the case of a metered loop (4 beat, 8 beat, etc.) this will also change the end (OUT point) of the loop as well to ensure that it is still looping for the correct number of beats.
There is also a length knob in most skins for the loop. This really just changes the length of the loop by shifting the OUT point, regardless of whether it is a metered loop.
