The only weak point of VDJ is to my opinion the management of the microphone.
Here's my suggestion:
---------------------
1 °) to use a different exit(release) for the microphone to avoid the differences of sound during the use of the cursors of earning in case of use of a table external.
2 °) Dedicate a specific menu to the microphone (in the left column: music / effects / samples / regulations) and in this microphone offer several possibilities of regulation of which an effect vocoder with several enregistrables preselections. Although an effect is available for the microphone, it monopolizes an effect while there is only 3 of it by track.
Thanks to read me

Clax, I would suggest that you manage the MIC via an external mixer including FX & EQ. http://www.pssl.com/bitemdetail.tpl?eqint_KeyIDdata=34309&UID=2002082207480602

I already use an external mixer but without effect.
However, It would be more interesting if VDJ could work as a vocoder.

Maybe interesting but I wouldn't vote for it. In my opinion, vDJ is already light on it's feet and I wouldn't want to see unnecessary code implemented.
Have you tried a hardware solution like the Alesis Ineko. It is cheap and is the best vocoder I've heard in that price range + has a bunch of other great FX. I have one and it works great.
