Strange big bug today.

Deck was playing (pitch at 0).
Deck B was stopped but pitch at + x.xx (forgot).
One sample was playing (loop ... very pitched).

Soundcard used: internal AC'97 on a TARGA 826MT32 (AMD Turion 64 at 1.8 Ghz with 1024 Mo DDR).

===> Deck A suddenly played very quickly (same thing if I was playing with a tape and push onto the forward button)!!!

I tried to load some other songs ... nothing changed.
I stopped the sample ... nothing changed.

Finally I had to end VDJ and start it again.

I assume you used the 3.2 version. but was unable to reproduce it. Anyway good to know if something gets sucked live, i know that it's not my fault and will switch to backup. Thanks.

Yes I'm using 3.2.
I cannot reproduce at present but I'm still afraid.
It's the first time I get this problem.

Yes nothing special - no effect started.

Situation:
Deck A: Cut / nothing loaded / nothing loaded
Deck B: Backspin / nothing loaded / nothing loaded

Hi,

I'm having same problem.
I'm using vdj 3.4-djconsole version and after 30m or so the vdj goes crazy, it speeds the music very fast, and that happens to all the musics or samples that I load into the program.
to solve this I have to close vdj and start again.
Is there any work around for this?

Thank you

I had this happen a couple of times when I was using the trial version, I set auto BPM to disabled (in FAME settings) and it has never done it since. Give that a try.

Hi,

I've set auto bmp to disabled and I still get that error, after half an hour or so of mixing the speed just goes crazy.
Does anybody have another clue?

Thanks in advance

I think it's a problem with some internal soundcards.
I never have this problem with my DJ Console.

But with my internal soundcard I sometimes have the problem with Winamp too.

I'm not using the internal soundcard of my computer, I have a trust 5.1 external soundcard.
I know that it is a software problem because the beats grafic goes crazy aswell.

ive had something similar when i'd accidentally hit the rewind or forward shortcut buttons.
i tried recreating the problem but couldnt. i thought maybe i hit both buttons but it didnt recreate it or stop it. maybe it involved Cue Points but i tried all possible combinations but it couldnt recreate it or get out of the bug.
only way to solve it was by shutting down the program. shutting down the program wont make any program saves like database or newly created Cue Points.
even loading another song wouldnt take it out of the rewinding or forwarding. Load a song and the song beginnings to forward or rewind without pressing anything.
but since this happened very rarely i couldnt count it as a real problem.

i dont think this bug i'm talking about exists since v3.2

I also had that problem, first I thought it was because of the laptop was to hot.., secondly i found out that it was the driver to my EXTERNAL soundcard that was the problem...

I downloaded another driver... found an older one from the chip manufacturer... Chip manufacturer isnt nessesary the same as the card manufacturer.
Never had that problem since.

Maybe a bug... If i let a track run out by itself, the number on the other deck is jumping a few beats..
Its a pitty.
