Hy Everybody. What do you suggest is the best way to mix breaks (especially progressive breaks) ?
There are almomst no 2 beat paterns the same. So what do u suggest. bassic beatmixing is kinda out of the question as you get flooded by percution. So what are your suggestions for some really nice break mixing (Digital Witchcraft stile :)) ... not quite).
Thanx In Advance

many break patterns are close. maybe not the same although close. Start with something down tempo and always work uptempo changing the breaks ever so slowly. try to match the breaks as close as possible to make the transition the cleaneast.

As I've seen in some of the Braks Sets there are two styles to do it:

1. U mix the begning and ending of the two tracks witch usually have nu basslines or percution (harmonic mixing is vital). and so the new percution is introduced seamlessly.
2. Very fast transition from one track to another, no beatmixing. Gain is verry important. But for this U definately need a mixer and perfect timeing.

Anyone else whants to put in his two cents for this issue?

Tnanks DJ_whiteDVL for the input!

What about using the EQ faders to seamlessly blend the tracks, and then make a sudden cross with the bass fader just at the end of a chorus or something... maybe its not too clear, but when you cross the bass you kill the other track too.

0.00002 cents ;)
