Topic: HELP-VDJ/Atomix wont run on new laptop

Hey, ijust bought a new Dell Inspiron 9300 1.7Ghz, 1GB Ram, 80GB HD and loaded VDJ and Atomix from my backup CDs. The programs appear on the Dell but when I try to load them nothing happens. Any ideas?

I run VDJ on my Inspiron 9200 (similar machine) with no problem.

Did you just copy directories or did you perform the VDJ installation again from scratch?
 
If you installed from the install file on the harddrive your os uses their should be no problem.

Do you have the lastest version of directx, and drivers for your graphics and soundcard?.
 
I will check on the drivers but my intial copy of both programs were on a Dell 2350 w/XP, the laptop has XP MCE as the operating system. I copied the setup files to CD and then re-installed (w/serial numbers) on the new laptop.
 
I found out what I was doing wrong. I was installing from the CD instead of first copying the install files to the new computer, and then doing the install.
