Topic: Song position can be different between VDJ and VTC

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

After launching a deck, if I change the position of the cartridge, the position of the song on VDJ does not correspond to VTC position.

And sometimes, when I reverse manually the vinyl, the song does not go back at the beginning: it can stop some beats after the beginning. I have to use stop key on skin of vdj to restart from the very beginning.

It is because virtual dj adapt the 12min vinyl timecode to the length of the song everytime.
When you start the timecode and song from the beginning, they are in sync, a kind of "absolute" mode but when:
1. use (software's) cue points and loops
2. scratching hard and skipping
3. or manually change the needle position
the sync is lost and vdj turns into a "relative" mode
This is what i called "smart" mode, it is fine or normal mixing, but it produces many problems
under some circumstances.

I have discovered this problem trying to make pass-pass.

Another one problem : put the same song on the 2 decks of vdj, the output level is not the same on my tablemix....???
 
check volume in maya44 setup of each channel
