Topic: Tracks cut short on Hercules Console

Hi,

I have a Hercules DJ console and am using it to play some wma tracks that I have purchased legally from allofmp3.com. Tracks I have ripped from my cds play fine in both windows media player and on the hercules dj console. However, tracks that I have purchased online seem to play perfectly in windows media player but have the tail end of them cut off in the virtual dj/hercules environment, they appear in the track explorer to be shorter than they are in reality and cut out before their true end.

I am using the version of Virtual DJ that is distributed with the DJ console, perhaps this is a built in limitation and I need to purchase the full version?

Does anyone have an explanation on why this would be and/or how to fix it?

Many Thanks,
Alan Parry

For me it was exactly the 1/2 of the playtime for wma files.

The thing you are doing wrong is that you analysed that wma files.

You have to open your VIrtualdj database.xml file and delete all info for
the wma files.

Then clean up the songlist.txt

now when you just put an ananalysed song to VDJ and let it play to end it will be all ok.

If you analyse the song before (not by just letting it play) it will play only 1/2.

It's known bug and in actual version is fixed as far as I know.
Unfortunately there's no patch for hercules edition.
