Topic: Green lines in some videos

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

Some of my videos are getting a thick green line when played through VDJ (3.1).
I have tested this on both my laptop and my stationary computer and get the same error with the same videos.

I have tried updating my codecs, the files that have this problem end with .mpg, but I don't know which codec is being used to play the files.

Playing the video in windows media player works fine.

any ideas on what else I can try ??

Thanks,
Nigel

Ok.. I changed to the media player codec, which fixed the green line problem

now the sound is totally distorted... Can I adjust this somewhere ?

After some testing I could adjust the ac3 volume which fixed the audio problem

Now I notice that some of the videos run warp speed, while the sound is ok...

I'll keep testing ...

anyone else got the wmp codec to work... if so which one is best for mpg2/1 ?

Hehe... Im getting there..

Now I am using the 'mainconcept' demuxer & decoder on the wmp video player..

This appears to be the most stable solution for me.

The video runs at the correct speed & the sound is ok.

I still have the green bar in some of my video files though :(
