I am getting a laptop that has a PII 300Mhz, 6 Gig Drive, and 256 Meg. I will be using a usb2.0 external for all music but was wondering if the newest version will run on such a slow processor. It recommends at least 400 but if I don't have to buy a chip, I don't wanna.... :)

hi ...well i'm a demo user but i have been using atomix since first relese...(yea buy the full version) and i recomend you to use de 400. the atomix2.2 will run pretty good on that laptop ..but sometimes you will gwt some lag cus the effects (if you use all of 6 button effects) and there is no way to open visualization it will slow down everything ....i run the last version on a p2mmx 266mhz and 448 mb ram 133mhz and a 8mb video card....with this machine i get a lot of lag when activating all the effects ..and there es no way to open a visualizations....so just earn a little bit more of money and get the 400 .....
