I have been reading the posts to try to combat this problem.
I just can't seem to remove the skipping problem I am getting.

even when just playing 1 track - it is skipping.

H/W:
AMD 1.2Ghz 1GBram
Tons HD space
Win2k w/current patches and most curent service release
Creative Labs Audigy Platinum

I know it's not a CPU issue - I am using like 6% of the cpu at any given moment.

It seems to skp more in '4 track' mode, but it does skip just using 2 channels.

I know HD/speed/etc is not the issue because I also do video editing with this server and can do realtime effects that are much-more cpu intensive including multi-track video/audio with this server. I do massive video editing as well with this machine with no glitches. (check out http://www.canopus.com for DVSTORM, and http://www.adobe.com for Premiere to see what I am talking about)

So - how do I make AtomixMP3 stable for mixing?

Skipping problem is with older Creative drivers. New drivers have been recently released which fix that problem.

My creative drives are apparently the latest - from december/02, and there are no other current for the Audigy card in any OS class.

So which version of drivers are you refering to fixing this problem? I see the Audigy 2 has a new set of drivers, but not the Audigy (the one I have)

So- failing this, what sound-card is guarenteed to work correctly with this software?
