Hi,

I'd like to know if my soundcard quality affects the recording quality through atomixmp3?

I have a soundblaster 64b and I wonder If I should upgrade it.

The recording quality from Atomix should not be dependent on the soundcard. However you might want to upgrade anyway to achieve higher quality playback and recording from an external source. I recommend Sound Blaster Audigy 2, M-Audio Revolution, or Terratec soundcards.

If recording directly to wav from within Atomix (the record wav option) the sound card does not come into play there. If you use the sound cards line out to record to something else (tape, minidisc, external cd recorder), then yes, the sound card would have a impact on the sound.
