The cut effect can be used wherever you think its sounds good. Sometimes in upbeat soungs it sounds great other times it doesn't. Best bet is to experiment at home before live gigs !

I use the cut effect in trance songs when the beat stops and there is a trancey vocal part or just an instumental section of the song with no beats. It makes a trance track even more trancey. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.

this is how it works
first jou make sure to songs with bass play syncroom than let them play together with one bass up and one down than put the volume from the one with the bass up down for a sec in that sec you put the bass from te other song up ans voila real cool bass effect
