Topic: hi homeboy please help me out here

i have the new labtop sony vaio grx 550
if you know someone that has it or is working with it
i would like to know how good is it going
my problem is the i have a 30 gigs harddrive and i have like 25 gig full of music
i love atomixmp3 v2.1 but is not working correctly
what sould i do whem i play a song it skips like a cd
it is not fun to play on a club and have that kind of problem

yes i have the original version 2.1
i love atomix
but it really sucks that i bought one of the best computers and is not working right

Some ideas are 1. increase your ram 2. Defrag your pc 3. Shut down programs running in the background 4. Take some songs of the main hard drive and out on another one.

Just some sugguestions

I too have a Sony Viao... But it's an older one. It's only an amd 800. However I've been using it at live gigs now for over a year. It does not skip. I use an 80 gig external firewire HDD. I do have 128 meg of ram, and I would consider this the minimum that I would try to run it with. Make sure to update both your audio and video drivers.

i have 512 of memory
pentiun 4
30 gig
yamaha soundcard
and only 20 gigs of music on the hard drive

Try it: Startexecute and type DxDiag. Let go to song and reduce material acceleration. Reduce material acceleration in song menu in Configuration Pannelsongperformance, too.
