What kind of sound card, do you have drivers installed, etc...

are your sound cards same?if u wanna use same 2 sound cards u can come across with such kinds of problems.Have u tried to setup hardware manually?if you weren't. Try it!and use the latest drivers that are available for your hardware hope these helps :))
