Topic: XP Sound Problem

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

ANyone experience this. I start ATomix, and hear nothing,
until I double click the volume control on the taskbar.
This only happens it Atomix, no other applications.

SB card?! I had the same problem. Try to decrease the hardware acceleration in the system config. That helped me!
 
It's an Audigy MP3, tried to reduce accelleration, and that
did not work. Also there is a crackling sound, and this only
comes up when I start Atomix.
 
Try to change the sound config in Atomix and play a song, then change it back.
