Topic: Please help with recording!

HI i'm new to the board as well as the program. My question is this...When i mix 2 mp3's together (acapella and instrumental) the mix file size is 30 megs. Shouldn't it be like 5 or 6? Can someone help me with this? Is there someway around it?

The recorded file is a .wav, not a .mp3, so it is quite big. You can encode it to mp3 using an encoder.
