If anybody was thinking about buying a Soundblaster Extigy for their laptop then I can confirm it is indeed an excellent product and it works fine with Atomix. It uses a USB connection and it is happy to work on a USB hub with a USB IR mouse. Simply choose 4 speaker mode from the Creative Audio Mixer program and select the Extigy as and 3D sound card in Atomix audio setup then away you go.

Does it work fine with NT and XP ? And doesn't it make your PC run a bit slower (do the curve still move OK ?). I heard that USB devices slow down the computer a little.

Well I have a 1GHz PIII with WinME and 256mb RAM and there are no skipping problems or slow moving display problems on my machine. Its actually faster than it was when I was using the internal sound card.

I have the external Soundblaster Extigy for my laptop. What setup and what connectors do i use to get music in the headphones and music from both speakers. I have tried everything to no avail.
