How do i stop the songs from skipping

Depends on what the problem is.. is the processor too slow, is your harddrive working to hard so that the MP3's can't be read fast/reliably enough.. memory problems.. could be anything really... I've been mixing with the demo for hours without skipping..
Just as a first step in relieving the system from stress:
disable the scratch option in the Options-screen and you could also try and disable Timestretch as that probably demands a bit extra of your PC...
I have both of theses enabled without any problems..
