Hopefully I'm just as blind as it gets, because I cant find a setting to change the horizontal waveform order. If not I hope there will be one in the near future because I find it bizarre that the mixerorder only applies to the vertical option. I really want to change it from 1234 to 3124.

It isn't a setting, you'd have to edit the skin.

I've gotten hold of that but I have no idea how to do it and wouldn't it be more convenient to just have a setting to do that?

Maybe it would but it isn't a thing currently & it's a very basic skin edit
looking at fullwave4 it should be apparent that all you have to do is change deck assignments for
<scratchwave deck
and
<dropzone deck
