Topic: Asus ROG x13 RTX3050Ti videocard stems use
Hi everybody!

I kindly ask your help regarding the use of stems 2.0 with a Nvidia RTX3050Ti videocard in a recently bought Asus ROG x13 laptop(there are integrated AMD Radeon videocard and a NVIDIA RTX3050Ti dedicates videocard).

I know that it was hot topic in 2023 but I thought that it had been solved with the updates of Virtual DJ.

The problem is that as I see VDJ uses the CPU (processor) for Stems calculation instead of the NVIDIA RTX videocard altough I have unticked “don’t use GPU” and I have also selected the NVIDIA as the requested videocard to be used for stems. I also tried to set NVIDIA vudeocard as the forced videocard for VDJ in Windows NvIdia settings as well.

Do you have any advice what to do? The version of the driver of Nvidia RTX3050Ti is also the latest.

Thank you for your help!

Regards,
Gábor

Hi All! Just for your information, maybe it could be useful for anybody: It seems to me that I managed to solve the problem just only with clicking on and after off again the ”Don’t use GPU” option. Unfortunately it should be a kind of a bug, but it solved my problem, now it uses the RTX3050Ti videocard. For a 3:30 music video it takes now about 40-45 sec. Is it the maximum i can reach with this video card? Thanks, Gábor

Very interesting ! I also suffer regularly (typically after an update) from audio stuttering. It is not an isolated problem: the entire laptop becomes sluggish during the STEMS analysis, and if you check the GPU activity (via task manager in Windows) the activity is heavily "spiked".
