I've been using Automix a lot lately and it works well for basic transitions, but one thing that would really improve the results is an option for phrase-aligned mixing.
VirtualDJ already detects the beatgrid, downbeat, bars and so on so it seems like it should be possible for Automix to wait for the next phrase boundary (for example every 32 beats) before starting the next track. That alone would make the transitions sound much more natural, especially for dance music where phrasing is important.
I'm not asking for anything complicated or genre specific, just a simple toggle like "align automatically to phrases" so the software uses the musical structure it already detects. It wouldn't replace cue points or the Automix editor, but would save a lot of manual prep for people who want cleaner mixes without editing every track.
If this is already possible and I've missed it I'd be happy to be pointed in the right direction.
